South Gate of Tanah Abang Station is Temporarily Closed

PT. Kereta Commuterline Indonesia (KCI) temporarily closes the south gate of Tanah Abang Station that leads to Tanah Abang Skybridge, Central Jakarta, starting Tuesday (8/11).

Prospective passengers can only enter the station through the north hall

In a written statement, PT. KCI VP Corporate Communications, Anne Purba conveyed that the closure is carried out because many passengers ignored health protocols when entering the south gate.

"We decide to close access to the Tanah Abang Station's south entrance and exit gate that leads to Tanah Abang Skybridge. P assengers can only enter the station through the north hall," she explained, Tuesday (8/11).

Her side will also divide the passengers to anticipate buildup of passengers in the platform and station thus physical distancing can be implemented on the train.

"We keep reminding public transport users to be orderly and comply with health protocols when entering the station area and inside the KRL train," she asserted.
